Uses
South American indigenous cultures attribute many healing powers to Palo Santo, Holy Wood.
It is burned to cleanse the air of 'mala energia', bad energy, and has been valued since ancient Inca times for it's spiritually purifying qualities.
The aroma of Palo Santo is said to have an overall calming effect, soothe the lungs, and aid digestion.
Milled shavings are used to:
- burn shavings in an incense burner during worship
- create incense sticks or cone incense, as the sole ingredient, or blended with other incense making botanicals, such as Myrrh Powder, or Royal Hojari Powder.
- manufacture botanical candles
- create herbal oils or liniments
